Have Your Juvederm Treatment Handled By A Board Certified Doctor
Juvederm is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores lost volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles. It is presently our favorite method for lip plumping, which is sometimes called “lip injections” or “lip fillers”. Another great new use is for filling the grooves under the eye bags.
What is Juvederm made of?
Juvederm is the first cosmetic dermal filler made of non animal-based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the body and provides volume and fullness to the skin. The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm is a crystal-clear gel called NASHA-TM or Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid.
NASHA is biodegradable and completely compatable with human hyaluronic acid.
How is Juvederm different than other hyaluronic acid-based products?
Unlike other HA-based products, such as those made from rooster combs, only Juvederm is non-animal based. This quality virtually eliminates any risk of animal based disease transmission or allergic reaction.
Improved Application Process
Instead of using sharp needles, we use the latest technology in our application of dermal fillers, known as DermaSculpt MicroCannula. With this technology, Dr. Presant is able to ensure a faster recovery, significantly less bruising (even no bruising), and patients report a more comfortable application experience.
Can Juvederm be used anywhere on the face?
Juvederm has been used in millions of treatments all over the world to correct the appearance and volumize the lips, under eyes, nose, chin, brows, earlobes, cheeks, and temporal hollows. It helps make the shape of the face more attractive, and if done well, preserve expression. Although FDA-approved, some areas are considered “off label”, so you’ll want a highly skilled injector for the best results.
How long does Juvederm last?
Studies have shown that the average treatment results last 6 months or longer. The unique technology helps maintain the cosmetic effect until the injected material is nearly gone.
How often should I have treatments done?
Juvederm treatments are typically scheduled twice a year. Experience shows that having a touch-up treatment before the product has fully dissipated will enhance the lasting effect.
How much does Juvederm Cost?
The amount of Juvederm necessary for proper effect varies. So, to estimate cost without examining you and understanding the effect you want to achieve is premature. Some people have larger muscles, usually men, and require larger amounts. Consistently treated muscles become weaker, requiring smaller amounts. This is why we offer a complimentary consultation.
